Story of the Running Wolf

Story of the Running Wolf is an electro duo based out of Los Angeles. They blend their 80's influences like Depeche Mode and Duran Duran with some modern electro-dance elements that helps to create an infectious sound.

This sound has developed into a whole live experience, which, even in Los Angeles sets them apart. Complete with neon lasers, make-up, fog and feathers these live shows have been described as a 'John Hughes party on Neptune'.

Stratospheric gives you a brilliant synth insight into this band.

The Big Sun

On first hearing The Big Sun, there was something very familiar about their sound that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. It was one of those deja-vu moments that would end up annoying me if I couldn’t place where I’d heard them before. So I went digging.

Nothing on amazingtunes.com. Just the fact that they hail from Oxford. More googling, found this so listened some more.

Then the breakthrough thanks to another blog. This listed the members of the band. Success!

I could now put a name to the voice (Berry) that I had been listening to on repeat. But her voice was not the cause of my deja-vu, that was from the sound and strangely the overall pace and feel of the song.

Then I read that both the drummer Loz Colbert and keyboardist Nick Moorbath were former members of Ride, a shoegazing band from the early 90’s. This was why they sounded so familiar! Thank you google! (Memories of the Riverside in Newcastle circa 92 came flooding back!)

This band, to my now deja-vu cleared mind has all the ability to be ready for when the publics taste at large switches back to a more Indie sound. The sooner the better for this listener!

Luke Wylde and the Japes

Luke Wylde and the Japes are a 5 piece Indie/Folk/Pop band from Wolverhampton. Acoustic guitar undertones, delicate ukulele highlights, full-bodied bass and energetic percussion provide the perfect backdrop for the intricate surf-pop-high-life guitar riffs and distinctive voice of Luke Wylde.

The songs of 25 year old Luke Wylde have been described as well-crafted, and, have a 'certain something' in the lyrical content and vocals that sincerely moves the listener. Brought to life by The Japes, the songs travel through various sub-genres; flirting with Californian surf pop riffs, experimenting with gypsy jazz evoking melodies and bouncing with indie pop guitars. 'Luke Wylde and the Japes' create a musical journey, accurate in rifling through all the elements of love; ecstasy, insecurity, heart-break and depression.

Tom Mann

The young singer/songwriter despite being just 19 has already seen growing success. From the age of 15 Tom has played with and lead a number of bands growing as an artist in the process. Throughout his development Tom has opened up for such prestigious artists as Jools Holland.

Tom has also enjoyed radio success from Radio 1's national BBC, introducing Nick Grimshaw and Annie Mac through to a number of regional stations.

Tom was previously managed by LA based Singer – Songwriter Joe Brooks, developing a great relationship including touring together.

'Decisions' is Tom Mann's debut EP launching him as an artist to the world as an individual; breaking away form his band roots.

Tom has a global fan base stretching from North America and Canada across the globe to the furthest point west of Asia.

Tom is certainly one to look out for.
