our music
Here's an introduction to some of our artists:
Donk Azure
The self-styled plasticine (yes, we're a little unsure of how he does it ourselves) man of pop, Donk Azure has gained many a fan here at Amazing Towers. His unique talent was first noticed on 'Have I Told You' that reached the No.1 position in the Amazing Charts.
As Donk puts it himself, 'Success breed's intrigue' and we are without doubt intrigued. This interest grew to a climax by making Donk the artist of the week on Amazing Breakfast, where he was quizzed on how the world of Donk came to be.
Most likely every word that you have previously read about Donk is a lie and written by the man himself. This little piece is neither, but more of a friendly recommendation. Have a listen to a couple of Donk's tracks, they have a beautiful subtlety to them which if you're anything like us, you'll find enchanting.
Champagne Morning
The name for this band came from the lead singer sipping champagne one sunny Sunday morning. Thankfully, he was not in my neck of the woods or we would be talking about Coffee Drizzle or Fruit Juice Fog. Not names that exactly give the impression of good bands.
Champagne Morning however does produce music that can't help but make you smile. There is a bounce to their sound that would not be out of place in any of the pop charts. Possibly the best aspect of this music though is that it gives the over-riding impression that it hasn't been formulaically thrown together. Something that you can just sense when you hear some of the recent pop offerings from last year's next big things!
So here's a toast to Champagne Morning. Proper pop.
Baskin's Wish
If Newcastle were on the western seaboard of America, then the sky would be bluer, the weather a lot warmer and the seaside far more inviting. But would Newcastle still be able to produce bands such as Baskin's Wish? Possibly not. They would be able to just go outside and experience warmth as opposed to sit in doors and write songs that radiate sunshine.
So if the weather is just not delivering the sunshine that you need, Baskin's Wish can certainly brighten up your day.
There is only one way to finish anything written about Baskin's Wish... Ba ba baba baba ba bahhhh!
If you're unsure what that's a reference to then have a little listen to the sample on our homepage.
